NSPCC Number Day

On Friday 2nd February the school took part in NSPCC’s number day.  We had some fantastic costumes and embellishments.  The children enjoyed the day, embraced the learning, and we managed to raise over £230.00 to be donated to the NSPCC!

Children In Need

Thank you for all of your donations on Friday 17th November, as well as the purchases made for the Pudsey and Blush ears and keyrings.  We raised a huge £582.64 to go to Children in Need!!

Macmillan’s “Coffee Morning”

On Friday 29th September the Nursery and Early Years classes took part in the Macmillan’s Coffee morning fundraiser.  Funds were raised from the sale of cakes kindly donated by staff and parents.  We also raised funds selling raffle tickets to win the Dougie Mac Bear.  A very happy Annie won the prize!!

A huge thank you to everybody who donated cakes, bought cakes at the coffee morning, or bought raffle tickets.  Our Adventurers played a huge role in fundraising for the day as well.

Harvest Festival

Thank you to everybody who donated items for the Harvest Festival this year.  We had a lovely service at school on Thursday 28th September for KS1 pupils and parents, and a service on Friday for Early years.  The donations were then taken to St. Michaels Church ready for the Harvest Festival on Sunday.

The donations finally were gifted to The Hub in Stone where they will benefit the local community.  Some fresh produce that we received was also distributed to local nursing facilities before the weekend for the residents.

Jeans for Genes Day

Thank you to everybody who came into school on the 22nd September in their jeans to support “Jeans for Genes Day”.  We raised an amazing £226.56 in donations.

Bee Active School Holiday Sports Club

Bee Active are coming to St. Michael’s during the school holidays.  Provision is available from 08.00am to 5.00pm.  The children will get to try a huge variety of sports and exciting activities every day.  It is open to children aged between 4 – 12 years old.  Bee Active offer children the chance to develop skills, try new sports and have fun in a safe and relaxed environment.



Circus Week

All of the children had a wonderful start back to the Summer Term when we launched our themed week of The Circus.’  The children were greeted on their way into school by a stilt walker and received their special ‘circus ticket’ to enter school where they found their teachers all dressed as circus entertainers!  The children are looking forward to an action packed week which will also include learning some circus skills!
