Oracy is the ability to articulate ideas, develop understanding and engage with eachother through spoken language.

Children learn through talk and to talk.

We engage our children in 4 main areas of Oracy to develop their conversational, listening and communication skills. We use aspects from Voice 21 to deliver our Oracy approaches and teach it explicitly in all lessons.

In our Foundation Stage we use the Little Wandle Oracy prompts to engage in high quality interactions with our children to encourage conversation, promote listening and develop key language and new vocabulary.
