Our children will harness technology and draw links with other subjects, developing the skills and knowledge to safely flourish in a 21st century world.
We use Teach Computing to deliver our computing curriculum. Our computing curriculum ensures that our pupils are digitally literate – able to use information and communication technology to fully express themselves and develop their ideas. Each year group from Year 1 – Year 4 has the opportunity to learn how to navigate our digital world and use technology safely across subjects to become digitally literate.
By the time our children leave St. Michael’s they will have gained key knowledge and skills in three main areas:
- Computer science (programming and understanding how digital systems work)
- Information Technology
- Digital Literacy (evaluating digital content and using technology safely and respectfully)
