School Admission Statement

Nursery Education – Local Authority Provision

Children are admitted to Nursery according to the Local Education Authorities Admission Policy, in the September before their fourth birthday.

Children join St. Michael’s Nursery at the beginning of the Autumn Term (in September) following Home Visits from staff. The maximum number of children for the Nursery session is 26. Parents can request the days on which they wish their child to attend and request morning, afternoon, or full day places. This provides the 15 funded hours.

St Michael’s Governor Led Nursery

We are also pleased to be able to offer nursery provision in our Governor Led nursery.  This operates alongside our Local Authority provision and allows us to offer full time places for nursery children during term time.  Children may start this nursery the day after their 3rd birthday.  Find out more about this provision on our Nursery Pages.  We are able to offer the 30hrs funded nursery places for parents who qualify for this funding.
