As Part of ‘Great Big Green Week’, year 1 have been thinking carefully about how they can look after our environment. Every child has chose a promise and made a pledge to try to keep to this over the next few weeks. They wrote their promise on some special card and attached it to their Autumn hedgehog which they made from collecting natural resources from the school grounds.
Pledges included;
- turning off the lights
- turning off the tap
- putting rubbish in the bin
- growing flowers in the Spring
Well done year 1 – I am sure this will make a super difference! 🙂
